Yoga in Varanasi
Vatayanasana (the horse posture)
The Vataen (sanscrit) is the Garu Indian bird. Birds and other animals inspire many yoga positions. The arms represent Ganesha, the son of Shiva, an Indian god often depicted with an elephant head.
After folding up one leg while in a standing position, the yogi gets down on one knee and folds his arms entirely. The difficulty is to fold the knee and the elbows.
This asana is good for the knees and the ankles
