"The Way of the Sadhu"

Yogi Priest Swami Shiva Nand Jee meditates in the lotus position on a sandy bank of the sacred Ganges.

Practicing the Shambhvi Mudra (sealing posture), he rolls his eyes up and inside, to better focus on the third eye. This is a position practiced by the god Shiva and adopted by many yogis. They can do it with their eyes opened or closed. This practice is very useful to avoid being distracted by outside elements.

This practice is not recommended to beginners as eye injuries can occur. It should only be attempted after much experience in yoga practice and meditation.
