Indigenous Group Wakhi (Also known as: Wakh, Vuhh, Hik, Vahi (Tadzhik Vahhon))
Location Tajikistan, Gorno-Badakhshan Province, Pamir Mountains, Valley of River Pyandzh; confluence of Wakhandarya and Pamir Rivers, Namadgut (or Namadgat) and Kozide villages; Ishkashmi; Kuybyshev District. Also in the valleys of southern Tajikistan, and in Afghanistan, Pakistan and western China.
