The Nitigat Vikas Sansthan NGO has established two schools in Barjarsar. One is staffed with an official teacher paid by the Indian Government and the other is solely operated by a team of dedicated volunteers.
As an incentive to get students to attend school, they offer them a daily lunch of cooked corn mixed with raw sugar. This food is an important supplement to the malnourished population.
