Travel & Ecotourism CASKE 2000 From 1998 to 2001, Native Planet founders J-Philippe Soule and Luke Shullenberger embarked on a three year, 3000 mile sea kayak expedition to document the lifestyle of indigenous people from Mexico to Panama and increase world awareness of the importance of cultural preservation. That adventure, CASKE2000, is the foundation upon which Native Planet was built. After paddling through storms and ten foot waves in Baja, narrowly avoiding injury in a shark attack in Belize, fighting the tropical heat, insects and monsoons of Honduras, escaping armed bandits in Nicaragua and nearly drowning on the border of Costa Rica, the CASKE 2000 expedition concluded safely. The diaries of the many adventures of this trip are the subject of an exciting extreme adventure book; contact us to be notified of its release. In the meantime, enjoy the photos, stories, maps and itineraries on the website dedicated to CASKE 2000.
